I used to have an original droid and I was disappointed to find that there isn't an "exact fit" cradle for the Incredible like the one I had for the droid, but the "squeeze style" cradle is functional, if a bit unwieldy. It holds the phone fine, but it looks a little outsized and unfit up there on the window.
It is the kind of quality I'd expect from a mount costing three times the price. I purchased this mount to hold my Galaxy S II while I'm driving so that I could make use of the phone's navigation system. They make it difficult to get to them if you need them, but you can't have everything. Set it ahead of time.
I have used the product for a month now. Both the windshield and dashboard mount work exactly as they should, securely holding my phone (HTC Incredible) for navigation and multimedia purposes. What this does is extend the two large padded arms as far out as they can go, and then you set your device in and squeeze the arms until they hold your device snugly. Then, to release, you just press the release button and the arms extend out again, releasing your device.
Could not use the phone mount on my vent. Even though my "Con" section is bigger than my "Pro" section, I still do like this phone mount, and I would recommend it to a friend. Also, my air vents are vertical, not horizontal, so it makes keeping the cradle seated in one place, tough. It wants to slide down and shift side to side.
I couldn't be happier. I love it! Other than that, it's awesome. I was pretty happy with this mount. This dashboard phone holder worked just like I wanted it to. The adjustable grip is perfect for the Droid Incredible.
I have a pretty small phone, but it could not adjust to hold it. I had to cut out some coasters and glue them on to the device so that it would hold my phone. This product worked perfect for what I was looking for. I wanted something to attach to my air vent, since that is the best place in my car to put my phones GPS, and it not be in the way.
It is built to have some pretty good grip on the phone. Also, I have not yet used the dash or window mounts but have read other reviews on here stating they are just as great.
The camera sits above the mount so you can use it to shoot video while driving. The only negative comment I have with this product is the vent mount.
It doesn't matter whether you have a cover or case on it. The only problem might be if your phone has side buttons you need to access while driving.
