I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed it. So, I was pleasantly surprised. I have mine mounted on the left center vent on my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. It is a little bit close to the gear shift lever, but does not interfere with its use as far as I can tell (shifting between Park, Reverse, and Drive caused no problems). The adjustable holster is truly ingenious! I like this product very much.
This mount works great with my phone (An LG Optimus V Droid phone.) All the configurations work well. Used the air-vent clamps and then took the plunge and used the suction mount on the windshield of my car. It's not going anywhere. I like this mount so much that I came back to order one for my other car (only to find that they're now back-ordered). Conversely, the vent mount doesn't work in every vehicle. It won't fit on any vent in the Yaris at all.
The suction cup works great and leaves no marks on the windshield upon removal. Adjustments are virtually unlimited. Unfortunately the vent mount fits very loosely and moves back and forth when taking a turn. I'm unable to install it onto the vents closest to the driver because it interferes with the wiper control and the headlight/blinker control.
The holder can adjust the size so it will work for most smartphones. There are a plenty of room on both the top and the bottom for cables.
The windshield mount does what it's supposed to and works great! The vent clips eventually wear and do not clamp as tightly and therefore the holder slants down.
I bought this for my desk as my cell is my only phone and when I'm working, I make a lot of calls. I use the suction cup on my desk next to my keyboard and it keeps my phone steady, accessible, visible, and makes my life better. This product is much better than a similar item I recently tried that cost just a few dollars less. This unit fits very well in the vents of the circular mini cooper, No adjustment needed at all Very happy with unit strong spring that holds unit in as well. It works great for her. I liked it so much I ordered another for me. I am ordering a 2nd one for my other car. It is cheap and works well connected to the vent. I won't have to buy a new holder for next/new phone. Cons: The adjustable arms are released with a push button/stick that is spring loaded.
